love at first sight

overlooking the beautiful coast of Vietri sul Mare, was love at first sight – the kind of passion that turns your life around and irrevocably changes it. Thus, in 2001 I found myself owning more than two hectares/ six acres of half-abandoned land. I rolled up my sleeves and started working to restore the site, endeavoring to fully respect both the landscape and the environment.
I learned that in the past the property had been known as “St. Vito ad Torcle” (from the Latin “torculum”: wine press) and that there was an ancient and particular vocation for the production of grapes and citrus fruits.
After consulting with expert enologists and agronomists, I decided to plant a very special vineyard, as I wanted to produce a wine of high quality that would express all the fragrances and flavors that envelope this land that is constantly kissed by the sun.

Raito is a neighborhood of Vietri sul Mare, first town on the Amalfi coast; its luxuriant sun-swathed seabound terraces were safeguarded by farmers and seafarers since time immemorial. Medieval convalescents were sent here to breathe fresh air, sunbathe, eat well, and recover.
